Grinds my gears

(Disclaimer: this is actually a serious topic, so you won't find my usual shenanigans in this blog). 

You know what grinds my gears? People who record and upload certain videos to world star, YouTube, and other sites. The videos I am thinking of specifically are those of people getting jumped or beat up. I personally think you have a certain amount of balls (or lack thereof) to just sit there and record it happening. 

What happened to the good ol days of either helping or just walking away because you were afraid of getting hurt yourself? I feel like sitting there and watching it happen and recording it is a thousand times worse than walking away and acting like you didn't see anything. So now people just sit there recording while 5 girls beat up 1 girl and they don't stop to intervene. I feel like as a society some of us have been stripped of common sense and/or our humanity (I'm trying to find the correct word but whatevs). I feel like you almost have to have no empathy to just sit there and record something without trying to break it up or at least say "that's enough!". This is a sad world we are living in. About a month ago, some old guy almost got into a fight with a group of guido muscle-heads outside Horus on A. I won't go into details, but the old guy ended up pushing one guy and then a bunch of them started pushing the old guy. When i saw this, almost instinctively,  I was like "yo chill!". My friend Marc told me "don't get involved, it's not your problem". Luckily nothing happened, but I think Me and Marc's responses were acceptable. What wouldn't have been acceptable was us standing there and recording a potential volatile situation.

I guess I'm just wondering what this world has come to when we can watch our fellow man get destroyed and just sit there and record it. And for those who like to watch these videos, what do you get out of it? By watching it, you are just contributing to the problem. So in summation, I feel you should either try to stop it or leave. Or, of you are going to record it and not say shit, then forward it to the authorities before you upload it to world star. The cops are already gonna use that as evidence so might as well give them a head start! So think to yourself, what would I do? Help, record, or walk away?
